There are many ways to make a crop, in fact before writing this post I made a tour of sites to see what they say already online ... virtually everything!
I found really interesting links with methods different from mine and these are:

But now we come to as I do, the older and classic methods: Bezier curves.

Ingrandisco bene l'immagine in modo da poter distinguere perfettamente i contorni e inizio a tracciare il primo punto: faccio clic con il pulsante destro del mause e, tenendo premuto, mi sposto seguendo la linea dell'oggetto che devo scontornare quindi rilascio il pulsante del mouse. Come si vede dalla foto qua sotto compaiono due linee che partono dal punto che ho tracciato: una è la direzione che ho seguito, l'altra è esattamente all'opposto: i punti che si trovano alla fine di queste linne si chiamano maniglie e mi servono per dare la "forma" alle corve. 
Ma andiamo avanti, qui i passaggi sono semplici perchè le linne sono rette, quindi posso immediately place the other points, and as you can see from the picture, I continue to follow the "handles" the outline

To save it I double-click on the Work Path and becomes Tracciato1
Some points can be converted later to change the handles are acting as above by pressing and holding ALT and cliaccando il pulsante del mouse spostandolo, oppure si può proprio spostare un punto premendo invece SHIFT.
Quando ho il tracciato definitivo non mi serve altro: posso cliccare sul tracciato1 per caricare la selezione e a questo punto posso creare una maschera o con CTRL+SHIFT+i caricare la selezione inversa e cancellarla.
un trucchetto utile in molti casi è quello di sfocare leggermente la selezione.
Altro trucchetto che mi hannos piegato: il tracciato non si deve trovare mai al di fuori dell'oggetto da scontornare: la soluzione migliore è che sia nel centro della linea di perimetro, o al massimo all'interno, se dovesse risultare fuori avremmo delle parti inutili nello scontorno.
Ho paura di non essere stata clear but it is one of those operations is much easier to make than to explain ... comuqneu my advice is: Isolated cropped and cropped again, only practice makes perfect (or at least acceptable).
